Autin’s weather typically necessitates a dip in the springs. A “swimming pool” fed by natural underground springs, Barton Springs (3 acres) provides plenty of room for swimming and sunning, and at around 70 degrees the water is sure to cool you off.

Also in Zilker Park is the annual ACL music fest. Held annually over 2 consecutive 3-day weekends the fest boasts a wide array of musicians over 8 stages.
The White Horse is a down and dirty honkey tonk with a diverse crowd, generous dance floor and live music 7 nights a week = this gal's version of heaven.
I credit the Broken Spoke with initiating my love for Austin. The legendary dancehall has live music 6 nights a week, be sure to show up early for 2-step lessons! It's a hoot.
The Little Longhorn Saloon is "The Honkiest Tonkiest Beer Joint In Town." Live music and cold beer 6 nights a week.
The Continental Club has live music every night (rock, roots, rockabilly, country & swing) with a funky 50's vibe.
